How to Develop your Perfect Sleeping Ambiance
September 25, 2012
I’m pretty sure that each and every one of us has sought the serene atmosphere of our own precious bedroom when we sleep in other places. Brief stretches of awkwardness can sometimes be the outcome when we lay down on a bed that is not our own? It’s natural for us to long for the familiar ambiance of our own sanctuary when we are at a place that is unknown unto us. In this article, we’ll find ways on how we can experience the easiness and comfort of your own crib even when you’re not there.
Like children, us adults seek necessary rejuvenation in sleep. As much as there are people who can sleep anywhere at any time, there are those who find it simply impossible to slumber off in certain unfamiliar territories. If you are a part of the latter group, never leave your home without bringing a simple item that grants you a reminder of your own bedroom. You know how some kids always bring their favorite blanket with them whenever they plan to stay overnight on a friend’s house? Same principle.
If you are going to be away from home for a significant amount of time, and if you have the opportunity to bring your lovely pillow with you, then go ahead and do so. You don’t necessarily have to place your head on it; you could just embrace it like there’s no tomorrow. Surely, it will give you a sense of peace, a sense of home.
Though it may be considered embarrassing for some, there are adults out there who still find comfort in cuddly, fluffy things like stuffed toys. If your pillow will take up too much space on your trip, bring these little angels with you. This way, you won’t have resort to endless hopping sheep as your portal to sleep.
Fill your room with your favorite music. Playing music that you identify with will help you find your sleeping points. This could help you feel your personal mood for resting your body even if you’re away from home. Play your music, close your eyes, and you should be fine. If ever you’re going to listen to music with earphones, make sure to remove those earphones before you enter your dreamland. Excessive exposure to high volume could make you lose your body’s balance.
There is truly no other place like Home. But life takes us to different places, and we have to make do with what we have. If you have no problem sleeping at any venue, then I salute you. To those who have a dilemma with sleeping in any other area that is not your bedroom, try out the simple tips listed above. Good night and good luck.
